Daniel M Pafford moved from Southern Virginia to Manhattan inspired by the ideology of urban landscape as seen through classic movies from the 1940s, 50s and 60s. Movies like The Women, Dial M for Murder, All About Eve, The Trouble with Harry, and North by Northwest along with many others are a daily inspiration for unlimited imagination in his approach to interiors. As a draftsman, painter, and original designer Daniel draws on his knowledge of fine furniture, art, and architecture along with an innate ability to build and inform a space from start to finish. His interior design is a testament to the sometimes surprising relationship of opposite colors, shapes, and textures that meld to fit his clients' needs and personal collections.

Through the juxtaposition of modern and classic elements Daniel enjoys pairing 1940's French and Italian Antiques with mid-century modern classics, while sometimes adding a bold Asian flair to create a trifecta of unparalleled elegance. Personal tailoring of taste to a client's needs and wants is most important allowing an easy flow of both Daniel's vision and his client's character to boldly reflect in the outcome of the space. All of these ideals create interiors of comfortable, livable beauty that are indeed a remembrance of the way we were and the way we aspire to live.

Benjamin Cruz has always been drawn to clean, cool, contemporary design. Through his travels in Europe, and particularly in France, he was inspired by the use of modern furnishings contrasted against classic French architecture. He was struck by how such complete opposite styles could live together in such a stylish manner in places such as museums, restaurants and hotels. As his design sensibility evolved, he added warmth via art, light, texture and touches of color to the mix to complete an inviting living environment.

Benjamin began his design career in Los Angeles. After graduating for UCLA, he helped design, sell and market a high-end furniture collection. This exposed him to the design world of the Pacific Design Center as well as several trips to High Point, NC. A native of Southern California, in 1991 he moved to New York to pursue a career in advertising but never gave up on his passion for interior design. Throughout this time, he helped decorate various homes and was always up to date on the latest trends; reading shelter titles, visiting showrooms and attending industry trade shows. In 2006, he finally began his interior design career full time with projects in Manhattan and East Hampton.

"The most important goal for me is for a client to enter a room and immediately feel visually pleased. If that is the first reaction, I've done my job well."
